Clash of Clans Town Hall 14 has finally been revealed, via a new trailer published by Supercell on Tuesday morning. The new base center features poison abilities and a brand-new jungle-themed design. There's a lot you might have missed in the 30-second clip embedded above, so we'll digest the footage for you.

'Clash of Clans' Town Hall 14 releases soon. Here's what we know about the April update. 'Clash of Clans' is available now on Android and iOS.SUPERCELL

Described as "the ultimate inferno," Town Hall 14 sets a new standard with a Giga Inferno weapon that adds poison damage to the already powerful defense. It acts a lot like an advanced Town Hall 13 at first, but the situation changes drastically once the building has been taken down. When the life bar of a Town Hall 14 is fully emptied, it explodes into a burst of green poison. This post-death attack not only offers a great deal of AoE damage, but it also has major ramifications on any troops caught in its blast. Should a troop get stuck in the crossfire, movement speed and attack speed will be nerfed significantly.

Just like previous Town Halls, Town Hall 14 can be upgraded as well. It features five unique levels that, surprisingly, don't offer any boosts to the building's base DPS or damage when destroyed. Instead, it's the impact of the aforementioned poison damage that increases with each new level. Town Hall 14 is clearly capable of shredding through a fleet of Drop Ships, which means it'll be a massive upgrade to your Home Village.

The clip itself may not tell us much about how Town Hall 14 works, but additional insight from insiders like Galadon Gaming helps to explain April's update even further. Given how powerful Town Hall 14 intends to be, it should be noted that upgrades will be very expensive to unlock, with many of them being more expensive than the total storage of Town Hall 13. So, while it may be enticing to bring some of the most powerful defenses and troops to your base, you'll need to do lots of grinding to get there.

Supercell will likely go into greater detail on the other Town Hall 14 update changes in the coming days through various sneak peeks, but below is a little preview of some exciting tidbits that Galadon pointed out in his developer build showcase.

  • New walls with a green glow.
  • New Hero levels: Royal Champ level 30, Grand Warden level 55, level 80 King Barbarian and Archer Queen.
  • Lab level 12.
  • Clan Castle level 10 with one extra spell added.
  • Eagle Artillery level 5.
  • Scattershot level 3.
  • Inferno Tower level 8.
  • Hidden Tesla level 13.
  • Cannon level 20.
  • Bomb Tower level 9.
  • Barbarian and Archer buff.
  • Healers buffed.
  • New levels for Valkyrie and Ice Golem.

Some of these finer tweaks may change leading up to launch, but it's plain to see that Clash of Clans' April update intends to be the game's biggest overhaul in quite some time. And that much is clear before the real sneak peeks have even begun.

Given that fans now know Town Hall 14 actually exists, you may be wondering when the big update is expected to release. Supercell has been predictably mum about offering an exact release date, but, given the duration of the ongoing Hammer Jam upgrade sale, we expect the patch to go live sometime around April 12. We'll do our best to inform you about more Town Hall 14 news as it arrives.
